Research and development at ASMPL is applied directly to process chemistry — developing and scaling the routes we use to manufacture API intermediates, agrochemical intermediates, and flavor & fragrance ingredients.
Our R&D team, including four PhD chemists and scientists, works on process optimization, scale-up, and new route development across our technology platforms — photochlorination, Grignard reactions, chlorination, Hoffmann rearrangement, and related chemistries.
We operate flexible pilot plants at our Roha and Vadodara facilities, allowing new processes to move from lab-scale development to pilot-scale trials before commercial-scale manufacturing.
An integrated approach to process development covering scale-up, safety, and waste management for each new route.
Capability to handle varied temperature and pressure ranges across multi-step synthesis projects.
Developing further competency in processes including Halex fluorination and hydrogenation, expanding our reaction capabilities.
Process development is carried out with GMP and regulatory documentation requirements built in from the start, so scale-up does not require re-validation of quality systems.
